Pakistan won't be going to IMF - Zardari: Nice words (BR 10.09.08) by the new Pakistan President, but would remain a big boast unless some concrete measures are taken to correct the economic downslide of the country. He did not elabourate as to how his government would steer the country out of this imbroglio.
But, he talked about 'tightening of belt' by the people who have no other choice. And mind you they are in majority. As the sayings go 'ice melts from the top' or 'charity begins at home' the austerity measure should start from the presidency if it really means business,
