Meteorological department has forecast hot and dry weather during the next 24 hours for the city, ranging between 39-41 degree centigrade. Minimum temperature on Saturday was 28 degree centigrade and maximum 41.1 degree centigrade, while humidity in the air was 31 percent.
Hot winds continued blowing throughout the day, amid prolonged electricity cut, which in many parts of the city remained between six to eight hours. Business activities in markets remained below average. Retailers said that they are facing problems in freezing the products because the electricity load shedding duration has prolonged to some eight hours.
