Former Federal Minister and PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that comments about disqualification of political leadership through court's reflect 'undemocratic approach'.
The indication of early decision of cases against Mian Shahbaz Sharif in Supreme Court by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is tantamount to contempt of court and if PCO courts are free as is claimed, notice should be taken of the remarks of former chief minister of Punjab, Saad said.
Saad Rafique further stated that Elahi's statement has validated the tapes given by Ahsan Iqbal to media sometimes back according to which former chief minister of Punjab had been issuing instructions to someone for early decision of cases against Sharif brothers.
He said that former rulers of Punjab who remained engaged in imprisoning and torturing of political leaders and workers under the ruthless dictatorship of General Pervez Musharraf should better reform themselves rather then accusing others of being despots. He said that PML-N has been the victim of worst type of political vengefulness for eight years but it has forgotten the past and is moving forward with new determination and commitment.
He said that the politics of Sharif brothers and his colleagues is based on principles and free of vindictiveness. He said that some elements from the wreckage of Q-League are engaged in negative propaganda campaign against Mian Shahbaz Sharif's transparent government through press conferences and statements.
He said that a majority of Q-League members who were disgusted and disappointed with the wrong policies of their leadership have returned to other political parties. Another leader of PML-N Punjab Sajjad Hussain said the Punjab would attain progress and prosperity under the leadership of Mian Shahbaz Sharif, who is determined to transform Nawaz Sharif's dream of a strong and democratic Pakistan into reality.
