Chief Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain, has said that in a successful meeting with the President Asif Ali Zardari at London, they both discussed the issues of vital importance. This he said while addressing party workers and leaders, who gathered to celebrate the Altaf Hussain's birthday, said a statement issued by MQM here on Wednesday.
On the occasion, party activists specially women activists greeted MQM Chief on his 55th birthday. Giving details of his meeting with the President Asif Ali Zardari, Altaf Hussain informed that they discussed basic problem facing by the people in Pakistan including inflation, unemployment, flour shortage, electricity crisis and the situation in Tribal Areas.
Altaf said that President has given assurance to him that the he will employ his all abilities and experiences to resolve the problems of the people of Pakistan. He said that MQM believes in tolerance, religious harmony and unity among the Muslims. MQM Chief said the President has invited MQM-associated Sindh Ministers, Nazim Karachi, Nazim Hyderabad and Haq Parast nazims for an Iftar-dinner on September 17 at Presidency, where the President will hear their problems.
