Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Rashid has invited Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi on Iftar at one of the thousands of tandoors of 'sasti roti' in the provincial metropolis that will provide him an opportunity to know the impressions of thousand of citizens who are being benefited by sasti roti programme of Muslim League government.
Commenting on Pervaiz Elahi's statement in which he had inquired where sasti roti was available? Pervez Rashid said here on Wednesday that if Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi could take out time of his engagements he could visit thousands of tandoors in the provincial metropolis where sasti roti was easily available to the citizens.
He said the government had allocated 1,400 tandoors in different areas of the provincial metropolis under its sasti roti programme and those tandoors were being provided 20kg atta bags for Rs 250.
"Sasti roti programme was also being successfully implemented in other districts of the province. In addition to magistrates special staff had also been deputed for monitoring the quality of sasti roti as well as its smooth supply to the citizens," he added.
