Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has appointed Jamil Ahmed Khan Ambassador-at-Large. Jamil has vast experience in the field of security and has enjoyed the status of a diplomat in the United Nations (UN) where he worked for about nine years as security advisor.
In the process of his UN assignments Jamil served in various countries and dealt with complicated and complex issues relating to security. Prior to his UN career Jamil also served in the Police Service of Pakistan where he looked after various cities as a senior police officer including Islamabad and Karachi.
