Punjab Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Haji Ehsanuddin Qureshi has said on Friday that the Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif is going to announce Rs 1 billion Education Endowment Fund (EEF) to bear the educational expenses of needy and deserving students in all the educational institutes.
Addressing a function arranged by an NGO, Qureshi said that the EEF is a part of the government's endeavour to mitigate the people's hardships. Through the EEF, all deserving students will be able to complete their higher education at the government's expense, he stated adding that the 'Education Emergency' imposed by Punjab CM will bring far-reaching results in the education sector. Talking about political situation, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz believes in the policy of 'live and let others live' and does not want to derail from the democratic process.
