four-day exhibitions showcasing exclusive collection of designers wear and sophisticated Egyptian jewellery opened here on Friday at a local hotel. 'Alpherg Couture Designers Collections' featured a variety of exclusive jewellery and fabric collection including Sarees, bedding, kids wear, which attracted a large number of females and fashion lovers through its vibrant colours and designs.
Mainly sarees and suits were embroidered with 'Makesh', 'Sitari', 'Kundan' and 'Gotta' and some were embellished with beadwork. The silver 'sitari' used on different colour combinations of Chiffon dresses and block screen paint, were the highlight of the exhibition.
The embroidered fabrics, casual and formal trendy wear, were displayed with variety of kids wear including local and imported garments. However, the traditional jewellery items imported from Egypt focuses on patterns studded with beads and semi-precious stones that are in vogue these days.
Egyptian genuine silver jewellery items adorned with calligraphic designs and use of precious stones like Gade and Ruby provided an eye-catching sight. Designer, Mobashira Alvi told APP that the dresses depicting figurative work of Mughal era, were specially designed to introduce traditional work with new style. The collection of fabrics showcased various new styles of casual and formal wears.
"We brought exclusive new styles every time instead of repeating the old ones. Unique fabric paints are introduced in our collection to attract a number of fashion lovers", she added. However about jewellery collection, she said,"Jewellery in all forms provide confidence to women by enhancing their innate beauty and also express their individuality with style," Mobashira said. "Women always consider jewellery as a most important part of their appearances and such exhibitions provide them with an opportunity to find perfect extravagant accessories," said a visitor.
