Team sports play an important part in the physical and social development of children while the diversity of initiatives such as First Ramzanul Mubarak PEL Soccer Cup Flood-lit Football Tournament 2008 will help encourage young children in physical education activities.
This was stated by Model Town Football Academy's President Mian Rizwan Ali, while speaking after a clash between Nadeem Football Club and Real Football Club in Ramzanul Mubarak PEL Soccer Cup here. Rizwan said Pakistan Football Federation's President Faisal Saleh Hayat is providing attraction to game of soccer and it is good to see PEL is moving positively.
The match ended 2-2 and Nadeem Club clinched the issue 4-3 on penalties. Real Club opened scoring through Fahad Tariq in the fifth minute but Nadeem's veterans spearhead Akhtar turned the tide with goals in the 14th and 28th minute. Real, down 1-2 at interval, hit the leveller in the 63rd minute through Rizwan Waseem. Later on, Gulshan Ravi snatched 1-0 win over Dr Asif XI.
