The Karachi Port handled 119,578 tonnes of cargo including 72,726 tonnes of import, 46,852 tonnes of export cargo and 4,786 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The freights comprised of 94,578 tonnes of dry cargo including 57,251 tonnes of general cargo; 10,406 tonnes of wheat; 4,350 tonnes of coal; 3,067 tonnes of rape seeds; 8,769 tonnes of cement; 10,735 tonnes of clinker and 25,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Sima Sahba, Tower Bridge, Hellenic Horizon and Valiant sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Ninos, Kota Haspas, King Brian, Fatima-1, Fanja, Sidratul Muntaha and Gulf Tiger are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Kota Haspas, Blida, Fanja and Ninos expected to sail on Saturday while three vessels viz King Brian, Gulf Tiger and Sidratul Muntaha are expected to sail on Sunday.
Four ships namely Bengal Orchid, Nepheli, Super Star 111 and Champion due to arrive on Saturday while another nine ships namely As Mars, Cap Gbriel, Wan Hai-211,Mol Affinity, Deja Bhum, Wu Yi Hai, Flag Investors, Lucky Arrow and Atermon due to arrive on Sunday. Three ships namely Clipper Trinidad, North Pole and Mol Ability due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 43,756 tonnes including 34,633 tonnes of import 9,123 tonnes of export cargo and 1,650 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The cargoes comprised of 4,451 tonnes of wheat; 7,351 tonnes of palm oil; 6,331 tonnes of iron ore; 2,523 tonnes of cement and 23,100 tonnes of containerised cargo. Edible oil vessel MT New Sato Kaze sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another three ships namely CV MSC Lucia, CV Limari and MV Al-Qawiyyu expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of twelve ships namely Qem Star, Pleione, Shaafi, Akmi, Eastern Bright, Toto, Pos Dignity, Ataqa, Jaipur, Multi Trader, Nova Noor and Captain Markos carrying chemicals, wheat, iron ore, palm oil, coal and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV MSC Lucia, CV Limari, MV Nordina-G, MV S D Glory, MV Al-Qawiyyu, MT World Majesty and MV Karolina are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely CV Oel Shreyas, MT Qem Star and MV Captain Markos are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, EVTL and Marginal Wharf-3 respectively on Saturday.
Five vessels viz MT Vema Ocean, MV Giovanni, CV Maersk Virginia, CV CMA CGM Sambhar and CV Miyunhe carrying furnace oil, coke and containers are due to arrive on Sunday. Five ships namely Apostolos, Al-Salam-II, Jaipur, Oel Shreyas, Maersk Tirana and Maersk Novazzano carrying wheat, diesel oil and containers are also due to arrive.
