December corn was down 2 cents at $5.56-1/2 per bushel, March was down 1-3/4 at $5.74-1/2. Profit-taking setback after two-day rally; declines in crude oil and gold set the tone, along with a bounce in the dollar. US crop weather seen favourable. US cash corn basis bids mixed; values falling in areas where harvest was under way.
