Secretary General International Affairs of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood, has said that reconciliation among political parties will straighten democracy in the country. The PML-N leader said that politics of "mutual understanding" should be promoted to cope with manifold challenges including terrorism being faced by the country.
Those who are creating political disintegration in Punjab through misunderstanding between PML-N and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) should leave the politics, he said. He said that the country was facing manifold challenges and need of the hour is to work for the betterment of the country and well being of people of Pakistan. He further said that Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif is devotedly working day and night for the welfare of the masses and resolution of their problems.
He said that elimination of poverty and ignorance are top priorities of Shahbaz Sharif and people are fully benefiting from the reforms introduced by him in education, health and agriculture sectors. He underscored that strong relationship between the PPP and PML-N would be the interest of democracy because a democratic atmosphere was necessary in the prevailing circumstances.
