In the wake of Marriott blast the government has beefed up the security of diplomats, foreign missions and UN offices located in the Federal Capital to avert any untoward incident.
Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior A. Rehman Malik on the request of Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday held a meeting with the diplomatic community at Ministry of Interior and briefed them about the measures taken by the government to ensure safety and security of the diplomatic missions and their personnel.
They were particularly sensitised about the ongoing plans to enhance the security of both the Federal Capital and diplomatic community. The diplomats appreciated the efforts of the government, expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements. They thanked the Adviser for his keen personal interest in the security of diplomats.
