Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrows over the loss of precious lives as a result of bomb blast in a passenger train near Hasilpur. Shahbaz while giving instructions to Chief Secretary Punjab on telephone from Makkah Mokarrama, (Saudi Arabia) said that the concerned DCO should personally supervise the relief activities.
He directed Punjab police to extend every possible co-operation to Railways Department in relief activities and health department should provide free of cost medical facilities to the injured. Chief Minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss. He also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
CHAIRMAN CHIEF MINISTER'S TASK FORCE APPOINTED: Shahbaz Sharif has appointed Mustafa Kamal as Chairman Chief Minister's Task Force on Horticulture with immediate effect.
The members of the Task Force include Secretary Housing or nominee, Secretary Forest or nominee, Secretary Agriculture or nominee, Director General PHA and PS to CM, Kh. Imran Raza. The Task Force will co-ordinate with all the relevant authorities for improvement of horticulture sector in the province, propose restructuring of PHA to improve its efficiency, professional capacity and transparency and review outdoor advertisement policy in order to make it transparent and environment friendly.
The Task Force will also monitor all the development projects and maintenance activities being undertaken by PHA. Punjab Horticulture Authority will provide all necessary administrative and logistic support to the Chairman Task Force. The Task Force can co-opt any other member for its subcommittee, if needed.
