Some 1,100 schools are being revitalised to strengthen the educational system in the quake-hit districts of Azad Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad, Bagh and Rawalakot in collaboration with the National Rural Support Program (NRSP) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
This was told by the Regional Head AJK Chapter of NRSP Attique-ur-Rehman while talking to APP. He said that NRSP is a nation-wide government-funded NGO working for the rural development and poverty alleviation.

Giving the details of the projects, he said that in the education sector the Program has established and operated some 114 shelter schools with the collaboration of USAID and provided school kits to students in quake-hit areas of AJK, adding that in a similar project under Open Society Institute program (OSI) some 30 community model schools were established.
