An investment conference would be organised in Sukkur on November 26. This was announced by the Director General of the Board of Investment (BOI), Karachi, Arif Illahi, here on Sunday. He said that some 250 delegates from various parts of the country would attend the moot.
The Federal Minister for Finance and Investment, Syed Naveed Qamar, has been invited to be the chief guest on the occasion. According to Arif Illahi, the members of the diplomatic corps would also be invited. He said that the participants would be apprised of the prospects and opportunities in the sectors such as transport, dairy farming, livestock, processing, small and medium industries, fisheries and processing etc.
It was pointed out that the moot would help promote Sukkur as a commercial centre and that the trade activities as well as foreign investment would be promoted. The Director general BOI Karachi also convened a meeting which was attended by the secretary Livestock and Fisheries Shoaib Ahmed siddiqui, District Co-ordination Officer Sukkur Jam Inamullah, Investment Adviser Mahboob Haq, Divisional Transport Officer Sukkur Tariq Aziz Kohati. A four-member committee has been formed for making arrangements for the conference, it was further stated.
