hisaaHYDERABAD: The employees of Sindh Education Department, who were appointed in 2008 on contract basis for a period of 3 years, have expressed gratitude to Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq for announcing regularization of their jobs.

However, they demanded at a rally here on Thursday that the notification in that regard should be issued before their 6-month extension lapses in January 2012.

Led by Safdar Lashari and Gulab Chandio, they said they were appointed through tests conducted by Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and, therefore, they call themselves as IBA pass teachers. Lashari said that the Government of Punjab had regularized the teachers who were facing similar situation.

"Therefore, we demand of Sindh government to issue the notification of our regularization without further delay in order to relieve our anxiety of job security," he added.
