The Karachi Port handled 266,780 tonnes of cargo including 143,386 tonnes of import, 123,394 tonnes of export cargo and 1,931 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The freights comprised of 143,132 tonnes of dry cargo including 95,631 tonnes of general cargo; 4,226 tonnes of fertiliser; 7,559 tonnes of wheat; 18,511 tonnes of coal; 5,695 rape seeds; 11,510 tonnes of cement and 000 clinker; 123,648 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Thirteen ships namely Oocl Ability, Cosco Dammam, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Hanjin Chittagong, Deja Bhum, H&H Wave, Oel Transworld, Xu Chang, MT Johar, Pheafan, Calmy Coral, Wu Yi Hai and Flag Investors sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Ten vessels viz H&H Wave, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Deja Bhum, Calmy Coral, United Asia, Great Leader, Changuinela Bay, Valiant, Uni Tank and Aterinon are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Balavia, Valiant, Great Leader and Bunga Teratai Dua expected to sail on Monday while another four vessels viz Uni Tank, Champion, Areadia and Ainaftis are expected to sail on Tuesday. Three ships namely Anna E, Sinar Bintan and Fe Niag Hai due to arrive on Monday while eight ships namely Bengal Orchid, Diamond Park, Apl Chicago, Gulf Bridge, Thuringia Express, Cape Negro, China Star and Rm Power due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 63,642 tonnes including 49,185 tonnes of import 14,457 tonnes of export cargo and 2,205 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Monday. The cargoes comprised of 12,460 tonnes of wheat; 5,910 tonnes of palm oil; 9,419 tonnes of iron ore; 4,416 tonnes phosphoric acid; 1,581 tonnes of cement and 29,856 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Six vessels viz CV MSC Zanzibar, CV Maersk Missouri, CV Captain Markus, MT Sky Ace-1, Mt Jo Oak and CV Al-Wajba sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while two more ships namely CV CMA CGM Eiffel and MV Nova Noor are expected to sail on Monday.
A total of eighteen ships namely Apostolos, Giorgis Milas, Coal Pride, Avenier, Richmond, Ocala, Shafi, Vaafi, RSZ Joy, Toto, Giovanni, Vancoure, Ataqa, Jaipur, Diamond Park, CS Summer, Jami Kos-I and Yanaseni carrying wheat, iron ore, coal, coke, cement, chemicals, palm oil, rice and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV Al Wajba, CV CMA CGM Eiffel, MV Nova Noor, MV Pleione, MT Moyra, MT Jo Oak and MV Akmi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, phosphoric acid and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely Maersk Danang, CV ACX Tsubaki, MV Coal Pride and MT Diamond Park carrying containers, wheat and Chemicals are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Monday.
Three ships namely CV Maersk Novazzano, MT Grigoroussa-I and MT Vema Ocean with containers crude oil and furnace oil due to arrive on Monday. Four container ships namely MSC Lucia, Maersk Ohio, Maersk Danang and ACX Tsubaki are also due to arrive.
