Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the impression about Pakistan has improved very much in USA. Talking to PTV the PPP leader said that during the recent visit of President Asif Ali Zardari and the women parliamentarians to United States the impression about Pakistan was made effective and impressive regarding terrorism and other issues.
The democratic image of the country was projected during this visit. Due to these efforts a donors' conference with the name of Friends of Pakistan was held on a short notice.
She said the delegation of women parliamentarians apprised the think tanks and the officials in that country that Pakistan was playing a very important role in international anti-terrorism war and in the result it was facing the backlash in term of suicide attacks. To a question she said the delegation requested the United States for permission to meet Dr Aaafiya but unfortunately she herself refused to meet them.
