Sindh Minister for Works and Services Manzoor Hussain Wassan has said that a comprehensive and efficient security plan was being devised by provincial government to maintain law & order situation in the province. He said that visible results of government's efforts would be witnessed soon after implementation of the plan.
He was talking to journalists at the residence of Munawar Junejo, Director General Design Works & Services Department, where he came to express sympathy with him and his family members for the agony and metal stress they passed through during the period he remained at the captivity of the dacoits, who had abducted him.
Manzoor Wassan said that deteriorated law and order situation was inheritance of previous government, but present government was determined to take sever action against the criminals and their supporters irrespective of their political or social position.
Wasan said taking the notice of the kidnapping of DG Design and an XEN of Works & Services Department he had directed the management of his department to prepare a separate strategy to provide foolproof security to the officers of communication sector, who are working in the field, so that same could be shared and incorporated in the proposed security plan.
He said that maintenance of law and order and specially security in the communication sector was very much essential to expedite the pace of development works, create job opportunities and enhance business activities for the progress of the country and common people.
To a question, Wasan said that no one would be allowed to carry out extra judicial killing in the name of maintenance of law and order, but the criminals would be prosecuted as per law of the land. To another question he said Manzoor Wasan said that no party quota had been allocated for the recruitment in different government departments.
He said government was fully focusing on the merit and competency of the candidates. Later, the minister visited the residence of Kazi Farooque in Civil Line and offered Fateha on sad demise of his father Professor Kazi Ahmed Muhammad. He remained their some time and inquired about the life achievements of the deceased Professor Ahmed Muhammad.
