The Lahore High Court (LHC) has restrained Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) from removing billboards of an outdoor advertising company and sought reply from it till October 8 in the petition.
The petitioner Ever Shine Outdoor Advertising Company through Sarfraz Ahmad Cheema argued that the PHA had issued notices to advertising companies asking them to remove their signboards and billboards till September 30.
Counsel further argued that under Article 18 of the Constitution the petitioner has the right of free trade and if the government wanted to evolve trade policy it has to make legislation first. Counsel prayed to the court to declare the notices of PHA as illegal and unlawful and suspend the operation till the pending of the petition.
