Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Tuesday speaking at Lahore Airport on return from Jeddah said that subsidy given by his government on flour was only for the month of Ramazan, however, his government would endeavour that 'Roti' remained available at Rs 2 even after the holy month.
The CM Punjab said that his party PML-N would co-operate with other parties in its strive for alleviation of poverty and fight against unlawfulness. He said that PML-N had always acted upon Charter of Democracy signed between Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto.
The CM Punjab averred that according to the Charter, elimination of 17th Amendment was mandatory prior to election of the President. He said his party was fully committed to democracy and would co-operate with all those who wanted to strengthen the process. He said that they were committed to improve law and order situation in the province and in order to improve security would announce a comprehensive policy soon. Shahbaz was received at the airport by senior officials and party activists.
