Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday said that the government is committed to provide basic amenities of life to every citizen of the country and mobilising all available resources in this regard. He was talking to a delegation of people from all walks of life including the representatives of coalition partners and major political parties of the country here at the Circuit House.
The Prime Minister told the delegation that the government would set up trauma and burn centers in Multan at the cost of Rs one billion for the provision of modern health facilities to the people of area.
He said that a labour colony comprising 1000 flats would be constructed in Multan and housing facility for the low income group would be provided across the country. The Prime Minister informed the delegation that Nadra had been directed to issue free of cost computerised National Identity Cards to the people which would benefit them in Benazir Income Support Programme.
