Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that water supply schemes in seven districts including Khairpur, Nawabshah, Shirkapur, Ghotki, Larkana will be completed at a cost of Rs 600 million with the assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Sindh government will spend Rs 300 million while remaining amount of Rs 300 billion will be provided by the ADB, this he said addressing a gathering on the occasion of local business community's reception here on Thursday night.
The chief minister said that Sindh Road Transport Authority (SRTC) will be re-started and air-conditioned busses will be purchased in Ist phase. He said that work on bridges at Shah Hussain Buss Stop and bridge on Railway crossing Faizabad (National Highway New and Old), respectively will be start very soon at a cost of Rs 800 million each, while bridge at Luqman Railway crossing would be construct with the cost of Rs 640 million.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that industrial zone would be established here and the Revenue department is working in this connection. On the compliant of business community about the use of sub standard material in the construction of new shopping center, the CM assured them that probe would be held into the matter. Business community leaders addressed the gathering and highlighted the problems being faced by them.
