The Lady Wellingdon Hospital administration distributed gifts among the patients and employees to share the jubilation of Eid. Patients were also entertained with Eid meals. Medical Superintendent of LWH, Dr Afzal Shaheen told newsmen that hospital administration arranged gifts and special cuisine with the collaboration of Patients Welfare Society headed by Mian Yousaf.
He further said that philanthropists and donors are also extending financial support to Patients Welfare Society for the welfare of the patients. Similarly, Eid gifts were also distributed among child patients admitted at the Children's Hospital.
These gifts were collected by students of different schools for distribution among child patients of the hospital through Red Crescent Society. Moreover, Fountain House arranged a special function to celebrate Eid with those abandoned patients who celebrated Eid at the House. Around 150 psychiatric patients celebrated Eid without their kith and kin at Fountain House. Professor Dr Haroon Rashid Chaudhry distributed gifts among these patients.
