The present government has summoned the joint session of the parliament on Wednesday (tomorrow) to discuss the policy and strategy on war on terror.
Pakistan People's Party Spokesman Farhatullah Baber said the debate on the issue in the parliament would not only help devise a plan as per the aspirations of the representatives of the people but would also provide an opportunity to take the masses into confidence on the issue.

Pakistani nation and political parties were neither consulted nor taken into confidence on this issue in the past. The government would be listening to the point of view of all political parties through their representatives in the parliament besides ascertaining the general sentiments of the people and their representatives about the role of Pakistan in the war on terrorism.
The heads of security and intelligence agencies are expected to brief the members about the challenges being faced by the country and Pakistan's role in the war against terror, he said.
