Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) on Thursday suspending the membership of Attorney General (AG) Pakistan Sardar Latif Khan Khosa, banned entry of Federal Law Minister Farooq H Nike in the bar premises. It also condemned the AG and law minister for recognising Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar as chief justice of Pakistan and inviting him into the PBC.
The LHCBA took this decision by carrying a unanimous resolution in its general house meeting prior to taking out the rally. Former Peoples Lawyers Forum president Raja Zulqarnain moved the resolution and LHCBA secretary Rana Asadullah put it before the house.
On suggestion of Pakistan Bar Council member Hafiz Abdul Rehman Ansari, Asadullah also announced to issue show cause notices to both of them. Secretary bar said this step has been taken against them for giving remarks against the lawyer's movement and trying to sabotage it.
The house also condemned the PBC for debarring LHCBA (Multan) president Mahmood Ashraf Khan, Secretary Rana Navid, Peshawar Bar Association president Fazalur Rehman, Lahore Bar Association President Manzoor Qadir and secretary Latif Sarra.
