The 2nd international power generation conference POWERGEN PAK 2008 will be held on October 14, with a theme "Power Efficiency; Up gradation & Self-Reliance" at a local hotel. The conference will provide a networking and business opportunities exclusively designed for power generation through hydro, coal, nuclear, renewable, thermal, and fossil fuels etc and allied industries.
ENERGY UPDATE: is organising the two-day event which will offer an interactive conference and technology showcase; enabling local and international producers, suppliers, distributors, marketers and users to talk on latest advancements being adopted and utilised world-wide especially in Asia Pacific Region.
POWERGEN PAK 2008: is supported by Ministry of Water & Power, Ministry of Environment, government of Pakistan while Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB), Enercon, Technobiz magazine & Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI).

Thar Coal Energy Board, Secretary of Environment & Alternate Energy dept Sindh would present papers on the Power crises, problems & solutions, future targets, strategies, technological development & advancement, plan of action energy efficiency conservation and management, impact of environment and carbon credits vis-a-viz impact on economic growth and development in the country. Federal Minister and Chief Minister Sindh, Raja Pervez Ashraf is expected to be chief guests on the occasion.
