The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided that it will call for inclusion of Taliban in the political process as use of force is not a solution to the problem, party spokesman Ahsan Iqbal said here on Monday.
Talking to media persons here, he said that the party would give the proposal in the debate of the joint session. "We will propose to the parliament joint session that Taliban or militants must be included in the political process. This will play a positive role in restoring peace in the country," he added.
He said that party would also give some other proposals in the joint session, which was postponed on Monday due to death of PML-Q MNA Mir Nasrullah Bijarani. "PML-N has made all necessary preparations and we expect that situation will be far better if the government forms a new policy based on our proposals", he said.
PML-N was not satisfied with the briefing given by the military, he said, adding that we are more interested in briefing by government. The government must give its Fata policy, he said.
The PML-N leader said that use of force would not solve the problem. Military operations could succeed only in seven percent cases world-wide, he said. If the militants were included in the political process it would be far better for the country, he added.
