Sindh Law Minister, Ayaz Soomro has said that the government has decided to launch evening courts in order to provide speedy justice to common people. The launching of evening courts will help the courts to dispose off the cases, which appeared to be pending due to surge in the number of cases, he said this while talking to newsmen here at local circuit house on Tuesday afternoon.
Accompanied by Sindh Law Secretary Sadiq Hussain Bhatti, Advocate General Sindh Yousuf Leghari Advocate and Additional Advocate General Sindh Allah Bachayo Soomro Advocate, the minister said that law officers of the province have been asked to appear in all such cases, which related to vacate the government land from the grabbers.
The government is fully committed to vacate all such government land, which may have been illegally occupied by the grabbers in different parts of the province. The law ministry has decided to all cases of land grabbing irrespective of any influence, he added. The Law Minister informed that all government departments have also been asked to file cases in the courts of law through law department in order to avert any complications.
Replying to a question about the scheduled visit of deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, the minister assured that security will be provided to him when he arrived in Sindh as a guest. Responding to another question, the minister said that the government remained stood to its stance of restoration of judiciary instead of a person.
The restoration of deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will be made through Parliament, said Ayaz Soomro. To another question, the minister dispelled the impression that judges, who have taken oath have been reappointed. All the judges have been restored under 1973 Constitution, said the Sindh Law Minister.
