Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures fell to session lows late Wednesday, plummeting in tandem with the 500-point drop in the Dow industrials, traders said.
Worries about a global economic slowdown weighed on financial and commodity markets. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke acknowledged that the economy faced a significant threat. November soybeans were down 39 cents at $8.57 a bushel.
