Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Saturday urged all nationals maintaining deposits in foreign banks to transfer the money to the country to stabilise the economy. In a statement issued here, the PTI chief said the rulers, politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen should bring their foreign deposits to the national banks.
He underlined the need for building the confidence of the overseas Pakistanis and investors to overcome the economic crisis. Imran said the country was facing critical economic situation and the burden of taxes had been indirectly shifted to the masses.
He said the government did not make any policy in the National Assembly to tackle problems like oil and atta prices and electricity shortage. The PTI leader said the nation should be taken into confidence about the economic situation and their views should be sought to take remedial steps in conformity with their wishes.
