The Karachi Port handled 109,547 tonnes of cargo including 74,350 tonnes of import, 35,197 tonnes of export cargo and 3,526 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The freights comprised of 76,349 tonnes of dry cargo including 40,423 tonnes of general cargo; 12,260 tonnes of wheat; 2,523 tonnes of fertiliser; 2,256 tonnes of cement; 507 tonnes of rice; 18,380 tonnes of clinker and 33,198 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seven ships namely Karla Omayra, Yin Qui, Alpha, Karina Danica, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Saigon Express and Sea Bridge sailed out to sea during the reported period. Eight vessels viz Victory 2, Lalazar, Karina Danica, North Pole, Ym Inventive, Flag Investor, Conti Harmony and Francisca Schulte are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Bohai Challenge, Ym Inventive, Conti Harmony and Francisca Schulte expected to sail on Saturday while another two vessels viz Cemrem and Lalazar are expected to sail on Sunday. Three ships namely Neptune Ace, Malika Naree and Tan An Hai due to arrive on Saturday while twelve ships namely Quetta, Al-Farabi, Chemroad Rose, Harmony, H&H Tide, Deja Bhum, Buma, Sealo-1, Ashraf-B, Pacific Arrow, Sari and Kety 11 are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 68,394 tonnes including 48,705 tonnes of import 19,689 tonnes of export cargo and 2,389 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Saturday. The cargoes comprised of 4,613 tonnes of wheat; 13,159 tonnes diesel oil; 7,660 tonnes of palm oil; 5,828 tonnes of iron ore; 3,789 tonnes of rice, 1,188 tonnes of cement and 32,157 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely MV Ataqa, MT Mariann, CV New Delhi Express and CV Villed-de-Aquarius sailed out to sea during last 24 hours while another three ships namely MT New Setokaze, MV Giorgis Milas and MV Ocala are expected to sail on Saturday.
A total of eighteen ships namely Nan Hai, RM Power, Karavados, Pacific Scorpio, Kolocap, Maria, Golden Beam Trader, Shafi, Vaafi, MSC Germany, MSC Denise, Vema Ocean, Sun Rose, Dolphina, Thereat Taurus, Vola-1, R.S.Z. Joy and Beluga Indication carrying wheat, iron ore, containers, furnace oil, crude oil, palm oil, chemicals, rice, coal and project cargo respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV New Delhi Express, CV Villed-de-Aquarius, MV Jima Kos-T, MT Van Coure, MV Giorgis Milas, MT New Setokaze, MT Transport, MT Mariann and MV Ocala are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, wheat, palm oil, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Six ships namely CV MSC Germany, CV MSC Denise, MT Vema Ocean, MV RSZ Joy, MT Dolphina and MV Nan Hai carrying containers, furnace oil, coal, palm oil and wheat are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Fotco Terminal, Iron Ore & Coal Berth, Marginal Wharf-1 and Marginal Wharf-4 respectively on Saturday. Three ships namely CV Anvil Point, CV Maersk Novazzano and MT Al-Soor-II carrying containers and diesel oil due to arrive on Sunday while two more container ships namely Maersk Dalmont and Maersk Iowa are due to arrive on Monday.
