The Central Joint Secretary, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and MNA, Khawaja Muhammad Asif has strongly criticised the government's negative policy on Kashmir issue termed it as an act of stabbing the Kashmiris and ignoring their scarifies.
'Kashmiris were struggling to liberate their motherland from the deadly Indian shackle but our government was showing flexible attitude on Kashmir issue which is unreasonable indeed,' he said to the Kashmir Conference held on Sunday arranged by Pakistan Thinkers Forum.
Asif said that there should be an honest and sincere leadership to show solidarity with Kashmiris.
The PML-N leader further said that at this critical stage, the Kashmiris should be given the right to elect their representatives according their own wishes and not selected by the intelligence agencies. 'The present rulers in Azad Kashmir are sheer insult to Kashmiri people and there should be an honest and able leadership for them because, present leadership in Azad Kashmir was working on the policies of former President, Pervez Musharraf,' he said.
Such leaders were trying to sabotage the Kashmir movement because they were working on backtracked policies just for their personal political gains, he alleged. Asif also strongly criticised the Chairman, Kashmir Committee and labelled him 'Ayyash.'
