Four notorious and dangerous bandits were killed in a police encounter in Green Town, Sargodha Road, here on Tuesday afternoon. The encounter continued for an hour in which the Jaranwala and Faisalabad Police took part. The dacoits killed in the police encounter are identified as Muhammad Shoaib, Abbas, Oad and Kaka Christian.
The police have also apprehended a woman companion of the dacoits who used to visit the houses in various localities and passed on the information to the bandits about the house inmates which helped them to commit the armed dacoities.
According to police, all the four dacoits killed in the police encounter had on October 16, shot dead two police officials Muhammad Nawaz Head Constable and Constable Abdullah when they stopped them at a police check post in Baluchni Police Station area. They were riding in Car No LZP-111 bearing number plate of a MNA and after committing this heinous crime, they drove away towards Faisalabad. The Jaranwala Police continued chasing the dacoits and ultimately they get a clue that dacoits were residing in Block II of the Green Town, Faisalabad, in a rented house.
