Pakistan and Italy on Wednesday signed Military Co-operation Plan (MCP) for the year 2009 on the occasion of 5th Pakistan-Italy staff talks at Joint Staff Headquarters, Chaklala.
A signing ceremony was held wherein Director General, Foreign Military Co-operation, Major General Shaukat Sultan Khan and Rear Admiral, Vanni Nozzoli, Deputy Head of the third Division of the Defence General Staff, Italy signed the Military Co-operation Plan (MCP-2009) on behalf of their respective countries.
Both sides agreed to further enhance the ongoing military co-operation in the field of training and exchange of expertise for the mutual benefit of the two Armed Forces. During the staff talks, both sides were forthcoming in extending co-operation in specific areas of interest and had unanimity of views on challenges confronting the two nations.
