NWFP Senior Minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour on Friday said that the government was willing to hold talks with local Taliban at any time in Swat. Talking to a private TV channel, Bilour termed the passing of joint resolution as a milestone in the parliamentary history of the country.
He said that the doors were open for talks with Taliban in Swat. However, he added, Taliban would have to lay down arms. He said that we held talks with Sufi Muhammad and a peace deal was made with Taliban in Swat also. He said the government stood by Swat peace deal. "The armed forces will be withdrawn from NWFP if security situation improves," he said.
