Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said on Saturday said that there existed complete unity in the ranks of the PML-Q. The PML-Q leadership and workers in the present difficult days of the country's politics would continue to raise voice at every forum for integrity of Pakistan and protection of rights of people, he said.
He said the party was going to file references against the forward block members. He said this while addressing the women legislators of the PML-Q in the Punjab Assembly here. The PML-Q leaders Moonis Elahi and Chaudhry Zaheeduddin were also present on the occasion.
Pervaiz Elahi told the PML-Q women legislators that passing of a joint resolution from the Parliament against the menace of terrorism was a positive development. He said that Senators Wasim Sajjad, Kamil Ali Agha and Tariq Azeem of the PML-Q played a vital role in the preparation of joint resolution.
Expressing grave concern over the country's economic situation, he said that the Prime Minister's Advisor on Economic Affairs had given three plans to the international donors, but so far no positive response had been received. He further said that the present regime had failed to check rising prices of oil and flour.
Regarding provision of "Roti" at rupees two by the Punjab government, Elahi said it was mere a "political trick," as according to him, the "Roti" being sold at rupees two was unfit for human consumption and spreading diseases.
He said the present situation, vis-à-vis wheat flour crisis, was due to defective planning on the part of the provincial government. He further said that people were taking to streets to protest the wrong policies of rulers and daily about 11 processions were being taken out in Lahore.
On the other hand, he claimed that during the PML-Q rule, wheat supply was not stopped to the NWFP and all the crises were tackled effectively. Pervaiz Elahi praised the PML-Q women legislators for playing positive role as opposition members in the Punjab Assembly by rejecting all the offers made to them to change their loyalties.
He hoped those PML-Q forward block MPAs, who joined the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) in the hope of getting ministries would never materialise. He further said that all those, who were making efforts to create rift in the PML-Q would never succeed in their designs. On the occasion, the PML-Q women legislators in the Punjab Assembly urged Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to file references against those legislators of the PML-Q, who are betraying the party leadership.
