Amir Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that dialogue is the only solution to situation in tribal areas. He was addressing the concluding session of JI's three-day congregation at Minar-e-Pakistan. The congregation demanded of the government to review its policies on Afghanistan, Kashmir, tribal areas and Palestine.
The congregation, which was participated by thousands of people and foreign Muslim scholars, urged the government to implement the resolution passed by the parliament during the joint sitting and immediate ceasing of military operations in Fata. It called for removal of ban on political activity in tribal area and handing over of powers of President regarding Fata to National Assembly.
In the congregation, message of nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was read out, which said the policies of the present government were not different from the previous regime.
Chairman Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Shah Gilani addressing the congregation through phone said that Pakistani government was non-serious in its approach on the issue of Kashmir.
Supreme Commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin, Lieutenant General Hameed Gul (retd) and others also addressed the concluding session of the congregation.
