The Karachi Port handled 221,982 tonnes of cargo including 149,415 tonnes of import, 72,567 tonnes of export cargo and 2,943 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The freights comprised of 129,384 tonnes of dry cargo including 65,888 tonnes of general cargo; 28,622 tonnes of wheat; 11,105 tonnes of scrap; 3,698 tonnes of fertiliser; 16,999 tonnes of cement; 3,072 tonnes of rice and 92,598 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Seventeen ships namely Cosco Lian Yun Gang, King Brian, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, City of Xiamen, Soon Fu, Nicetec, Chemroad Rose, Al-Farabi, Adriatic Arrow, Empress Phoenix, S H Bizet, Csav Lonquimay, Global Progress, Ocean Project-II, Oel Peace, Deja Bhum, Al-Salam-II and Navision Bulker sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Thirteen vessels viz Elena, Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson, Empress Phoenix, Oel Peace, Csav Lonquimay, Gulf Tiger, Bulk Arrow, S H Bizet, Sima Pride, Tower Bridge, Hanjin Calcutta and Prinkipo are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Gulf Tiger and Royal Success expected to sail on Monday while another six vessels viz Serife, Admire Coral, Yahama, Alvia, Mol Admiration and Sima Pride are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Three ships namely Lalazar, Sima Sahba and Oel Transworld due to arrive on Monday while thirteen ships namely High Century, Al-Marwah, Bunga Teratai Dua, Kota Hapas, Montania, Apl Chicago, X-Press Khyber, Banglar Urmi, Afra, Lady Rea, Hadrian, Nedroma and Clean Seas are due to arrive on Tuesday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 78,948 tonnes including 63,891 tonnes of import 15,057 tonnes of export cargo and 899 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Monday.
The cargoes comprised of 6,431 tonnes of wheat; 36,703 tonnes furnace oil; 3,130 tonnes of palm oil; 17,627 tonnes of iron ore; 6,669 tonnes of rice and 8,388 tonnes of containerised cargo. Container ship namely CMA CGM Jasmine sailed out to sea on Monday morning while another ship namely MV RM Power is expected to sail on the same day.
A total of fifteen ships namely Tian Hai, Karavados, Pacific Scorpio, Kolocap, Maria, Darya Radhe, Voc Progress, Golden Beam Trader, Madura, Progress, Tain Jin, Vaafi, Yasmine, Musan and Maersk Tirana carrying wheat, palm oil, iron ore, chemicals, cement and containers respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz CV CMA CGM Jasmine, MT Vancoure-II, MV Vola-I, MV RM Power, MT Agility, MT Vema Ocean and MV Shaffi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely CV CMA CGM Jasmine, MT Agility and MV RM Power carrying containers, palm oil and wheat are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Monday. Three ships namely Maersk Novazzano, Maersk Carolina and Sumy carrying containers and cement are due to arrive.
