Hassan Nawaz appears for third time before JIT
ISLAMABAD: The Joint Investigation Team, formed by the Supreme Court to probe money trail of the Sharif family under Panama case verdict, has summoned the premier’s son Hassan Nawaz for the third time on Monday (today).
The Panama case JIT has also summoned Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on the same day at 3pm after summoning Hassan at 11am to the Federal Judicial Academy on Monday.
According to Geo News, this is third summons issued by the JIT to Dar. Earlier, the finance minister did not appear before the investigation team on grounds of a busy schedule.
A spokesperson of the Finance Ministry confirmed that the summons notice issued on June 28 was received at the minister`s office on Sunday. He also claimed that the minister did not receive any summons before.
As the final day is closing in, the JIT in the last round of interrogations has also summoned Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's elder son Hussain Nawaz on July 4 and his daughter Maryam Nawaz on July 5.
Previously, the Prime Minister appeared before the JIT on June 15, while his brother Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif did so on June 17 and his son-in-law Capt (retd) Safdar on June 24.
The Supreme Court had given 60 days to the JIT to complete and submit its investigation on July 10 to the court's special implementation bench.
