Chairman of Human Development Society (HDS) Advocate Shakeel Ahmed Jamil on Friday appealed to philanthropists to donate as much relief goods as they can for the victims of earthquake in Balochistan. He said that quake in Balochistan has resulted in massive devastation in different areas, which has left a large number of people dead, injured and homeless.
Due to the destruction caused by earthquake thousands of people including children, women, youths and aged people are under open sky, who need blankets, tents and warm clothes, he said. He informed that a convoy of relief goods has been sent by the HDS a NGO include tents, blankets, jackets and sleeping bags. Medical teams are also accompanying the HDS team to the quake-hit areas but there was still need of more relief goods.
He appealed the philanthropists to donate blankets, tents and warm clothes for the quake victims. HDS chairman Advocate Shakeel Ahmed also informed that the HDS has also set up a relief camp at its main office, where the collection and packing of relief goods was being done. He said that a consignment of a relief goods has already been sent by the HDS to quake-devastated areas.
