RIO DE JANEIRO: Brazil produced 2.653 million barrels per day of crude oil on average in May, a 6.7 percent increase from the same month a year earlier, oil industry watchdog ANP said on Monday.
The figure represented a 4.5 percent jump from April, ANP said. Natural gas production rose 2.1 percent to 105 million cubic meters per day compared with April. The figure was 5 percent above the same month in 2016.
Total oil and natural gas production in Brazil reached 3.312 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, according to the regulator.
