Senior Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that nothing can replace the Kashmiri's right to self-determination for the solution of longstanding dispute. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in New Delhi said, "People of Kashmir at this juncture are mature enough and know that pro-Indian leaders are trying to provoke people for casting votes.
They have just lust for power and they care only for assembly seats", KMS reported. Appealing masses to boycott the forthcoming so-called assembly elections, the Hurriyet leader said, "It is high time to boycott polls. People should start a social boycott with those who participate in elections." He also condemned the arrests of Hurriyet leaders. Syed Ali Gilani, who was operated at Escorts Hospital New Delhi on October 15 for changing his pacemaker, has developed some flesh on his only kidney and he will be shifted to Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai on Monday for check up.
