Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar and judges of the Supreme Court as well as the Chief Justices and Judges of all the high courts have donated their one-day salary in the relief fund established by the government of Pakistan for the rehabilitation of earthquake victims in Balochistan.

The Chief Justice and judges said that the survivors of the earthquake needed to be provided every possible help and support to enable them to revert to their normal life.
They offered their heartfelt condolences over the sad demise of all those, who lost their lives in the earthquake, and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and give the members of the bereaved families patience and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
26 cases disposed of. Meanwhile, undisturbed by the legal community's countrywide protests and observance of "black day" against November 3, 2007 by General Pervez Musharraf (Retd), the Supreme Court and high courts continued normal court work on Monday.
A Supreme Court official told Business Recorder that six benches of the apex court heard more than 80 cases and disposed of 26 cases on Monday. Four benches of the court disposed of 17 cases at the principal Registry, Islamabad, while two benches disposed of nine cases at branch Registry, Karachi.
The proceedings took place in normal manner and a large number of lawyers appeared before the apex court in pursuit of their cases. Various benches of the Lahore High Court also heard and disposed of several cases listed on the day's cause lists.
