Overseas Pakistanis showed their solidarity with the lawyers' movement observed 'black day' on November 3 to support the struggle for independence of judiciary, Secretary General, Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) Saudi Arabia, Chaudhry Saeed Ahmad Jutt said.
To mark the day, the overseas wings of PML-N held various functions in different countries where speakers highlighted negative effects of villainous act of the dictator through which he sought to maim the sacred institution of judiciary.
They denounce the former President, Pervez Musharraf's ignoble moves to subdue and stifle national institutions for his prolonged rule and vowed not to forgive him.
He said Musharraf's reprehensible action of November 3 against judiciary is black chapter in the history of the country.' Further, Jutt said Musharraf's reign was marred by political victimisation, killings of innocent people and corruption, added that the despot pushed the country to darkness in the name of so-called enlightenment.
He also said that the PML-N would continue its struggle for restoration of 1973 Constitutions as on October 12, 1999 position, restitution of judiciary to November 2, 2007 status and reinstatement of the Chief Justice, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. 'Thumping victory of Ali Ahmed Kurd as the President of Supreme Court Bar Association shows the confidence of lawyer's community to fight against the government's anti-judiciary policy.
