Mandana Karimi, one of Indian television’s most controversial reality show contestant recently tied the knot but filed for divorce from husband after being abused both verbally and physically.
Bigg Boss 9 participant Mandana Karimi who gathered attention during the reality show proved to be the most controversial member of her season. The Iranian immigrant married her almost five-year-old boyfriend, Gaurav Gupta this January but ended up filing up for divorce after a brief period of five months. Mandana accused husband for forced conversion and domestic violence, the actress also accused her mother in laws for harassment.
While talking to Mid-Day, Karimi said, “I was thrown out of my matrimonial house seven weeks ago. I made desperate attempts to reconcile with them, but my in-laws didn’t allow me back. Gaurav has cut me off.”
Different reports about the estranged couple came out including reports from Times of India saying that the actress was asked to quit her career after marriage. Another media report suggested that Mandana was asked to convert to Hinduism which she refused to do.
The actress was last seen in the movie ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum’ alongside Aftab shivadasani and Tusshar Kapoor.
