The Karachi Port handled 120,494 tonnes of cargo including 75,657 tonnes of import, 44,837 tonnes of export cargo and 4,213 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The freights comprised of 83,826 tonnes of dry cargo including 50,223 tonnes of general cargo; 16,687 tonnes of wheat; 6,681 tonnes of cement; 7,055 tonnes of clinker; 3,180 tonnes of rice; 33,603 tonnes of bulk cargo and 36,668 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely viz Mol Ability, Quetta, Thor Ingeborg Elemi-T, Deja Bhum, Al-Marwah, Hyundai Qingdao and Cap Colorado sailed out to sea during the reported period. Nine vessels viz Cap Colorado, Deja Bhum, Nayab-1, Kapitan Byankin, Banglar Urmi, Obs Anita, Lucky Arrow, China Star and St. James Park are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Nord Mermaid, Elena, Marilyn and Apl Chicago expected to sail on Wednesday while another five vessels viz China Star, QSM Dubai, Nayab-1, Lucky Arrow and Gregos expected to sail on Thursday.
Five ships namely Valentine, Harmony, Pac Antlia, Sea Bridge and Obs Swathy due to arrive on Wednesday while six ships namely Oel Transworld, Flag Investors, Alexi-III, Hyundai Admiral, Resolve and Serpentine are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 75,527 tonnes including 60,038 tonnes of import 15,489 tonnes of export cargo and 2,215 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Wednesday.
The cargoes comprised of 26,996 tonnes of wheat; 5,471 tonnes of palm oil; 8,940 tonnes of iron ore; 3,016 tonnes of chemicals; 1,403 tonnes of cement; and 29,701 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two container ships namely MT Word Pride, MT Al Soor-II, MT Ginga Lanner, CV Maersk Dandang, CV Inori and MT Qem Star sailed out to sea during last 24 hours on Wednesday morning while another ship namely MT Sinar Busan is expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of Thirteen ships namely Voc Progress, Darya Radhe, Maria, Taian Hai, Royal Aqua, Charlotte, DL Clover, Al Mirqab, CSAV Tubul, Gan Bake San, Aqua Star, Musan and St. Kitts carrying wheat, palm oil, containers, cement and LPG respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Maersk Dandang, CV Inori, MV Sari, MV Karavador, MV Kolocep, MT Sinar Busan, MT Qem Star and MV Jorita are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, chemicals and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Four ships namely MT DL Clover, MT St. Kitts, CV Al-Mirqab and CV CSAV Tubul carrying containers, Edible oil and LPG are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Wednesday. Bulk cargo carrier MV Gladiator is due to arrive on Wednesday.
