The Karachi Port handled 69,444 tonnes of cargo including 33,619 tonnes of import, 35,825 tonnes of export cargo and 2,382 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The freights comprised of 57,944 tonnes of dry cargo including 21,181 tonnes of general cargo; 9,351 tonnes of wheat; 9,000 tonnes of coal; 13,994 tonnes of cement; 495 tonnes of clinker; 3,923 tonnes of rice and 11,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Nord Mermaid, Marilyn China Star, Kapitan Byankin, Elena and Apl Chicago sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Hawk, Pac Antlia, Apl Chicago, Hanjin Qingdao, Peqoud and John Gr are currently at the berths. Five ships namely QSM Dubai, Resolve, Pac Antlia, Lucky Arrow and Hanjin Qingdao expected to sail on Thursday while another two vessels viz Nayab-1 and Gregos expected to sail on Friday.
Three ships namely Valentine, Flag Investors and Alexi III due to arrive on Thursday while five ships namely Serpentine, Hyundai Admiral, Ym Inauguration, Sima Sahba and Sp 5-Eric G. Gibson are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 55,847 tonnes including 46,952 tonnes of import 8,895 tonnes of export cargo and 1,707 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours on Thursday. The cargoes comprised of 21,886 tonnes of wheat; 1,647 tonnes LPG; 2,599 tonnes of palm oil; 3,870 tonnes of iron ore; 1,971 tonnes of cement and 23,874 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Four ships namely CV Al-Mirqab, CV CSAV Tubul, MT Sinar Busan and MV Jorita sailed out to sea on Thursday morning while another ship namely MT St. Kitts is expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total of sixteen ships namely Voc Progress, Darya Radhe, Maria, Taian Hai, Gladiator, Royal Aqua, DL Clover, Chem Route Sun, Chariotte, Al-Manakh, Dubai Express, MSC Lucia, CMA CGM Sambhar, Gan Bake San, Aqua Star and Musan carrying wheat, palm oil, containers and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Eight vessels viz CV Al-Mirqab, CV CSAV Tubul, MV Sari, CV Karavador, MV Kolocep, MT Sinar Busan, MT St.Kitts and MV Jorita are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, LPG and iron ore respectively during the report period. Three ships namely CV Dubai Express, CV CMA CGM Sambhar and MT Dl.
Clover carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Thursday. Four vessels MT Al-Salam-II, MT Sulawesi Palm, MV Alpha Afovos and MV Bison Express carrying diesel oil, palm oil, coke and live cattle are due to arrive on Friday.
