'We have clearly conveyed Pakistan's viewpoint regarding the US drone attacks to General David Petrias,' the Foreign Minister, Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said. He was talking to newsmen at Multan airport on his return from Dubai on Friday, he said that there are hopes of having good relations with the new US administration.
Shah Mehmood said that it is also a good thing that in the meeting with General David, the leaders of all the political parties were present and was unanimous on the point. He said that very soon the advisor for Finance, Shaukat Tarin would visit to Saudi Arabia.
'I came very satisfied from my visit of Saudi Arabia and very soon the positive aspects of this visit would come forward,' he added. The Foreign Minister said, 'We have friendly relations with Saudi Arabia and it will continue to be good,' he maintained. He refuted the media speculations terming the visit to China not fruitful said that visit to both China and Saudi Arabia was successful.
Furthermore, Shah Mehmood said that the value dollar has been decreasing now and we would come out of this financial trouble within a short time. 'The package, which has been formed with the IMF, has its own utility,' he said, 'In a short term we have no other best option then the IMF to get the credit,' the Minister added. Responding to a question about the price hike, the Foreign Minister replied that the prices of petroleum and ghee have been decreased and the government would soon bring down the prices of other commodities.
